About Aria Prame
Aria Prame is a Seattle-based jazz vocalist with over 20 years of professional experience and a reputation for her swinging style, creative nuance, and emotionally resonant performances. Known for her rich vocal tone and inventive phrasing, Aria has become a sought-after voice in the Pacific Northwest jazz scene, performing alongside some of the region's most respected musicians.
Aria's musical roots run deep in the Seattle jazz community. Her artistic voice was shaped in the vibrant clubs and jam sessions of Seattle, while she also studied music theory and jazz performance under the guidance of respected educators and mentors. This blend of academic insight and real-world experience has given her a strong technical foundation and a deeply intuitive connection to the music.
In addition to her solo work, Aria performs in the Lark, a vocal duo with longtime collaborator Carrie Wicks and pianist Nick Allison. Drawing from jazz roots but unbound by genre, the Lark blends elements of Americana, folk, and vintage pop with an eclectic selection of songs that defy categorization. The group is currently preparing to record their debut album - an intimate, harmony-rich collection that reflects their shared musical curiosity and creative chemistry.
Aria also teaches private students, guiding them through the fundamentals of jazz performance and improvisation. Her approach emphasizes the vital connection between mind, body, and voice - helping singers build confidence, freedom, and presence in their artistry.
